Das ging schnell: Gleich am nächsten Tag hatte Valve die Gerüchte bestätigt und nun erstes Material gezeigt:

Half-Life: Alyx ist zwischen Half-Life and Half-Life 2 angesiedelt, kurz nach dem Sieben-Stunden-Krieg:

You and your father were relocated to City 17. In the years since, you've continued your clandestine scientific activity—performing critical research, and building invaluable tools for the few humans brave enough to defy the Combine.

Every day you learn more about your enemy, and every day you work toward finding a weakness.

Als Engine kommt Source 2 zum Einsatz, unterstützt werden sämtliche VR-Systeme: Valve Index, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift und Windows Mixed Reality.
Damit ist übrigens auch klar, dass für ein Half-Life 3 nur noch drei Schwerpunkte zur Auswahl stehen.
