Story:
id Software's newest chapter in the legendary Wolfenstein series delivers players deep behind the enemy lines of a war-torn Germany, where Nazi experiments with technology and the supernatural threaten to turn the tide of World War II.

- On 07/13/2008 RtCW2 was presented for the first time simply as "Wolfenstein" in the Game Informer magazine.
- The engine used is an enhanced id Tech 4 engine (ET: Quake Wars).
- It was confirmed during QuakeCon 2006 that RtCW 2 was already in development at Raven since two years.
- RtCW 2 is developed by two studios: Raven is responsible, after Quake 4, for the singleplayer part and Endrant Studios are taking care about the multiplayer.
- RtCW 2 is also coming for the Xbox 360.
